Citizens
Senior citizens are a very important
population at RHBC and in the community. Because of their increased
importance, this ministry is designed to address their needs in a
more formal and unified approach. Activities include, but are not
limited to weekly meetings with brunch, social, recreational and educational
travels in state and out of state, an exercise program and an Annual
Banquet.
Youth
Ministry and Education
Provides ministry to the youth and their families, enabling them
to fully experience the faith of Scripture, which is Christ our
Lord. Our goal is to offer holistic, innovative programs and activities,
addressing and sustaining youths interest in themselves and the
church. Further, through spiritual development, we hope to affect
their social, educational, mental, and emotional growth in a positive
way.
Preacher
Mentoring
Under the mentorship of Pastor Fullwood, this program seeks to develop
proper biblical attitudes for the preaching and pastoral ministry.
Various preaching philosophies, theologies and methodologies are
explored in ways that expose them to the current trends but also
yields a richness that will resource their preaching in a postmodern
age.
Woman's
Ministry
The Women Ministry purpose is to meet the spiritual and emotional
needs of women at Riley Hill Baptist Church and
the community. This ministry is designed to teach, equip, motivate,
encourage and inspire women to discover their
biblical purpose reaching out embracing one another for the
glory of God and the ministry vision of our church.
Couples
Endeavors to enrich and strengthen marriages within Riley Hill and
the community in ways that will make marriage the experience God
intended - based upon faith, trust, commitment and respect toward
one another. Focus is largely given to communication; awareness
of each other's interests and a Christ-centered relationship in
biblical perspective.
Biblical
Marriage Counseling
Offers a biblical perspective regarding marital and family issues.
The purpose is to encourage and inspire, increasing strength to
trust in the truthfulness of Scripture for healing, recovery and
deliverance in the moment of marriage crisis.
Computer
Technology Center
Provides access and opportunity for economically challenged rural
adult residents to gain marketable computer skills for employment.
C.O.S.A.P.
(Christians Offering Substance Abuse Prevention) A fellowship
of men and women who share their experiences, strength and hope
with each other to recover from their addictions, using the Twelve
Step Recovery Program. It
has been proven that the program works.
S.E.L.F.
(Smoking, Education, Lifestyle and Fitness) Improvement
Program - Provides a multi-generational strategy to reduce some
of the chronic disease risk factors (inactivity, poor nutrition
and tobacco use) among economically challenged residents.
Right
Choice
A community-based program designed to help reduce crime in our communities
by providing case management services for children 14-18 years old.
Educational and instructional sessions involve the whole family.
Theatre
Group
Targeted at middle school aged children, this program uses theater
stage training to showcase the children's talents and build self-esteem.
Summer
Enrichment Program
Children 5-14 years old read and complete math assignments, practice
using effective listening skills, and attend sessions on etiquette
and politics. The program provides breakfast and lunch, and operates
from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Tutorial
Program
Provides resources to help with academic requirements needed to
meet the end-of-grade test score requirements of the Wake County
Public School System.
